PSA Airlines announced today that it will add an additional crew base, opening January 2016, at the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky Airport (CVG). This will be PSA’s fourth crew base: joining Dayton, Ohio, Charlotte, North Carolina and Knoxville, Tennessee.
The wholly-owned subsidiary of American Airlines Group has doubled its fleet size and employee base since the announcement of the airline’s imminent growth in December 2013. This will be their first added base since the start of this expansion.
This announcement comes on the heels of the addition of the airline’s CVG maintenance base announced in July of this year. PSA’s increasing presence in CVG will greatly benefit the airline and American Airlines Group as a whole by providing another central location within PSA’s growing network. Its close proximity to PSAheadquarters in Dayton will also provide convenient synergies between the two bases.
