Amber Aviation has moved a major step closer to realizing its aim of becoming Asia’s leader in bespoke business jet services, after obtaining the Air Operator Certificate from the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC), which allows the company to operate business aircraft under CCAR Part 135 regulations.
Amber Aviation was founded by China business aviation pioneer Mr. Chang Qiu Sheng in February this year and has quickly achieved several key milestones with the support of various parties including CAAC, the air traffic control department and airports. At the beginning of its establishment, the company received approval from Bao’an International Airport, Shenzhen as a principal base of operations. In May, Amber Aviation applied for an Air Operator’s Certificate (AOC) from the CAAC, receiving certification in around a month. With the AOC secured, the company applied for an Air Operator Certificate. In under two months, Amber Aviation received the Air Operator Certificate, allowing it to operate business aircrafts under CCAR Part 135 regulations, as well as the Maintenance Organization Certificate (CCAR 145). This success represents the recognition of the professionalism of the company and its team by its industry peers.
With the support of a highly experienced management team and its comprehensive service offerings, Amber Aviation welcomed its first aircraft in July, just five months after its establishment. Currently, Amber Aviation has a fleet of three aircraft.
“I am delighted that we are one highly significant step closer to achieving our company’s aim of becoming Asia’s most trusted business jet partner,” said Amber Aviation Chairman Mr. Chang Qiu Sheng. “We target to manage six aircraft this year and expand our fleet to 15 in 2018, offering our clients the most flexible, safest and transparently priced operation in China.”
The Shenzhen-based company, which also has offices in Hong Kong and Macau, as well as operating bases in Beijing and Shanghai, is tasked with an uncompromising remit to assist corporations and individuals more readily cope with often extremely demanding and highly complex aviation challenges.
