Gazprom Neft joins JIG for the development of aviation fuel-supply standards

Gazpromneft-Aero, operator of the Gazprom Neft aviation refuelling business, has become the first Russian company to join the Joint Inspection Group (JIG) — the world-leading organisation for aviation fuel-supply standards, specialising in developing standards throughout the entire logistics chain, from refinery to wing-tip. More than 40% of all aviation fuels sold worldwide are now compliant with JIG standards. Members of the association include the world’s leading oil companies and fuel suppliers, including Total, BP, Shell, CNAF and Eni, as well as aviation-refuelling service operators. In addition to developing international standards the JIG is also responsible for training inspectors and inspecting (auditing) airports’ aviation refuelling infrastructure consistent with these.

Gazpromneft-Aero is the market leader in aviation refuelling in Russia in terms of direct sales. The company’s technical policy is based on Russian aviation fuel-supply requirements and IATA and JIG international standards. Gazpromneft-Aero enterprises are actively deploying automated process control and emergency protection systems and inspection and compliance documentation consistent with international standards.
