airBaltic Training, the subsidiary of the Latvian national airline airBaltic announces that it has officially been recognized as a Diamond Authorized Training Centre by Diamond Aircraft. The authorization comes as Diamond Aircraft officially launches its global DATC programme, designed to recognize selected flight training organizations operating Diamond aircraft that meet the manufacturer’s highest standards in facilities, operations, safety, and training methodology.

Vilmantas Mažonas, CEO of airBaltic Training commented: “Becoming a Diamond Authorized Training Centre is a strategic milestone for us. It formally recognizes that our training standards, instructors and infrastructure meet the manufacturer’s highest requirements. At the same time, it expands our offering – we can now provide officially authorized Diamond type training not only to our academy students, but also to licensed pilots and aircraft owners across the region.”

As a DATC, airBaltic Training is officially approved to provide training on Diamond aircraft types, including the Diamond DA40 and DA42. This means that aspiring pilots can complete their Diamond training in an authorized environment; licensed pilots can obtain type-specific training or refresh their skills; and private owners who purchase a Diamondaircraft can complete required type training at airBaltic Training.

The DATC status also allows airBaltic Training to carry official Diamond Aircraft branding and benefit from enhanced manufacturer support, ensuring training is delivered according to Diamond’s standards.

The DATC status also provides additional visibility through Diamond Aircraft’s official network, including an interactive global map that allows prospective students to explore authorized training centers and apply directly.

airBaltic Training offers a wide range of aviation training services in Riga, Latvia. The modern, purpose-built facility is equipped with two Airbus A220 full flight simulators, a Diamond DA40/42 fixed base simulator, multi-purpose cabin trainer, A220 and B737 door trainers, as well as computerized classrooms. All airBaltic Training programs adhere to EASA and ICAO regulations and are created and instructed by active aviation professionals working and flying directly with airBaltic.
