PEMCO Delivers Third B737-400 Combi Conversion To First Air

PEMCO World Air Services (PEMCO) has announced the redelivery of a 737-400 Combi aircraft, MSN27232 registration C-FFNC, to First Air, Canada’s foremost Arctic and remote region air carrier. Previously PEMCO converted two 737 Combi’s for First Air, which underlines the strength of the relationship and the reliability of PEMCO’s conversions.

As the third conversion project for the Ottawa-based carrier since 2014, this versatile, PEMCO-built Combi will be providing a unique combination of cargo and passenger services. The conversion was completed at PEMCO’s headquarters at Tampa International Airport.

This latest PEMCO redelivery is a 737-400 Combi capable of simultaneously carrying four and a half pallets of freight and 72 passengers. The functional capability of this converted aircraft makes it ideal for First Air to accomplish unique and difficult missions including gravel and ice strip operations in remote locations. PEMCO’s Combi design is in a class by itself as the only certified Combi STC for a 737-400 in the world.
