At the end of 2024, Sabena technics reached a symbolic milestone of 4,000 employees. Lola, group's 4,000th employee, is a mechanic working at our Bordeaux site, which employs almost 1,000 people and carries out maintenance and modification work on wide-body and narrow-body civil and military aircraft and equipment.
This emblematic number of 4000 employees testifies to the group's development, in a context of expansion in the aviation sector. It also testifies to the attractiveness of the Sabena technics group's engineering, mechanical and avionics professions, whether for airplanes or helicopters.
Passionate about aeronautics since childhood and inspired by her military father, Lola's career path was naturally focused on aircraft. After starting out on the Perpignan site, she was trained in aircraft mechanics during her work-study placement in Bordeaux. She is now pursuing her professional adventure on a permanent contract, ready to take on new challenges!
Eric Vicente, Group HR Director commented: “Lola is a perfect illustration of Sabena technics Group's training and recruitment programs. Lola is not only proof that our technical professions are accessible to female employees, but also that we are committed to sharing our passion for aeronautics and turning a childhood dream into professional fulfillment.”
