Aeroflot and Saudia Announce Codeshare Agreement

Aeroflot and Saudia Announce Codeshare Agreement - Airlines publisher

Aeroflot and Saudia, the flag carriers and largest airlines in Russia and Saudi Arabia respectively, announce that they have entered a codeshare agreement that expands their networks between popular business and leisure destinations in the two countries.

The new codeshare flights are now available for purchase for flights starting from August 1, 2015. Subject to regulatory approval, Aeroflot will place Saudia SV code on codeshare services on the following routes: Moscow — Cairo — Jeddah, Moscow/St. Petersburg — Istanbul — Jeddah/Riyadh, Moscow — Dubai — Riyadh. Aeroflot will also place its SU code on codeshare flights with Saudia between Jeddah — Cairo — Moscow, Jeddah/Riyadh — Istanbul — Moscow/St. Petersburg, Riyadh — Dubai — Moscow. Customers travelling between Saudi Arabia and Russia will now be able to connect seamlessly with one ticket between Russia and Saudi Arabia via Istanbul, Cairo and Dubai.

The agreement between the two airlines, both members of the SkyTeam global alliance, will strengthen the carriers’ positions in both markets and give customers greater convenience and flexibility. Passengers will benefit from simplified bookings, seamless connections on a single ticket and baggage check-through to the final destination.
