Air Serbia, the national airline of the Republic of Serbia, and airBaltic, the Latvian flag carrier, have signed a codeshare agreement that offers guests convenient new travel options between Belgrade and the Baltic capitals of Rīga and Tallinn.
The deal will result in Air Serbia placing its “JU” flight code on 47 weekly services operated by airBaltic between Rīga and Amsterdam, Berlin, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Vienna and Warsaw, and between Tallinn and Vienna.
In return, airBaltic will see its “BT” flight code appear on 56 weekly flights operated by Air Serbia between Belgrade and seven key cities in Europe: Amsterdam, Berlin, Brussels, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Vienna and Warsaw.
Put together, these connections will allow travellers to fly between the capital cities of Serbia, Latvia and Estonia via one stop, using one ticket for the entire journey.
Dane Kondić, Chief Executive Officer of Air Serbia, said: “This codeshare agreement adds another layer of depth to our North European network by providing air travellers with dozens of new travel options when heading to and from the Baltic countries. Our codeshare partnerships are a cornerstone of our business model and we look forward to welcoming guests of airBaltic onboard our flights.”
Martin Gauss, Chief Executive Officer of airBaltic: “Our home markets are Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania. airBaltic links the Baltic capitals with major hubs by flying multiple daily flights. In these hubs, we meet our partner airlines who can take our passengers to and from essentially any airport of the world. We are delighted to team up with Air Serbia and jointly enhance connections between Belgrade and the Baltic capitals.”
Travellers can book the new codeshare flights by visiting the Air Serbia website on www.airserbia.com, through local travel agents or any Air Serbia sales office.
