As the company continues to expand, airBaltic has already recruited 347 employees during the first half of 2023. Thus, the total size of the team has exceeded more than 2 360 skilled professionals. Looking ahead, it is planned to attain the mark of approximately 2 500 employees by the end of 2023.

airBaltic has been recognized as the best employer in the transport and logistics sector in Latvia for already 12 years in a row. The continuous recruitment process is confirming this and the diverse set of vacancies offered as well. In 2023, vacancies, which have received the most applications so far are Junior Cabin Crew (>1800), First Officer (>950), Senior First Officer (>330), Storekeeper (>330), Experienced Cabin Crew (>320), Revenue Analyst (>270), Flight Dispatcher Assistant (>170), Logistics Courier (>170).

Candidates come from such countries as Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, India, Ireland, Italy, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Pakistan, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Sri Lanka, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, and United Kingdom. The most represented professions and areas of activity of currently working professionals are cabin crew (>740), aircraft technical maintenance personnel (>450), pilots (~400), flight assurance and operations specialists (>300), commercial personnel (>240) and IT, human resources, finance and other office personnel (~200).

The average age of people working at airBaltic is 35 years, but the median seniority level reaches 6 years. The proportion of gender equality is 46% women and 54% men. Today members of more than 30 nationalities work at airBaltic. Until now, seven employees have been working in the company since its establishment in 1995. Altogether 482 employees are members of airBaltic for more than 10 years, of whom 165 celebrate their work anniversaries of 10, 15, 20, and 25 years, thereby proving loyalty, as well as the stability and growth opportunities offered by the company.
