As part of its ongoing recruitment efforts, the Latvian airline airBaltic is pleased to announce a Pilot Open Day in Barcelona (Spain) and invites all pilots to attend the event to learn more about job opportunities at the airline. The event will be held on October 22, 2024, from 09:00 to 16:00 (local Barcelona time) at the INNSiDE by Meliá Barcelona Aeropuerto hotel in El Prat de Llobregat, Spain.

During the Pilot Open Day, the participants will have a unique opportunity to meet an airBaltic Captain from Spain, who will share insights into Flight Crew life at airBaltic, as well as the airline's Deputy Chief Pilot and the Pilot Recruitment Manager. Additionally, all interested participants will gain valuable knowledge about airBaltic’s operations, its commitment to pilot development, and the attractive benefits and career growth opportunities the airline offers.

Currently, the airline is hiring Captains (with ICAO and EASA ATPL licenses), Senior First Officers (with a fast-track command), and experienced First Officers on the Airbus A220-300 aircraft. For qualified professionals who join airBalticbetween September 1, 2024, and May 31, 2025, the airline will provide a sign-up bonus up to EUR 15 000 gross for Captains and up to EUR 10 000 gross for Senior First Officers.

Furthermore, as airBaltic continues to expand across the Baltic States, the airline will establish new crew bases in Tallinn (Estonia) and Vilnius (Lithuania) starting from November 1, 2024. Moreover, starting as of January next year, airBaltic will implement a salary increase and improvements in crew rosters with more days off.

The Airbus A220-300 offers an excellent flying experience with such benefits for passengers as wider seats, larger windows, more hand luggage space in the cabin, and delivering better overall performance, and convenience for both passengers and the staff.
