The updated livery retains parent company Evergreen Group’s compass design, while simplifying the tail colours. It also adds more movement to the lower portion of the aircraft’s fuselage.

The aircraft, MSN 44554, is the first of four 777s that the airline is taking from Air Lease Corporation, and is the 22nd of the type in its fleet.

Boeing says that the carrier plans to add seven more 777-300ERs to its fleet by the end of 2016, which will help it to significantly boost capacity on North American routes.

Flightglobal’s Innovata networks data service shows that the Star Alliance carrier flies from Taipei Taoyuan to seven destinations in North America, including Houston which it added earlier this year.
