A flydubai flight to Beirut was forced to return to its home airport on Tuesday morning after the aircraft developed a technical glitch.
A spokesman for the budget airline said ground staff “decided that flight FZ157 should return to Dubai due to the performance of one of the engines”.
The flight left Dubai International Airport at 8am and was scheduled to land in Beirut at 11.10am local time.
“The aircraft has landed back at Dubai International Airport,” the statement said.
Passengers were provided refreshments in the terminal as they waited to be accommodated on the next available flight, the airline said.
