La Compagnie inaugurated its first New York Nice flight of the 2022 season on Saturday 7 May. This flight departing from New York Newark last night arrived this morning at Nice Côte d'Azur airport and will leave for New York in stride.
Until September 27, 2022, La Compagnie will operate three flights per week on this route on board its new Airbus A321neo. This aircraft will offer 76 sleeper seats on each flight (where the usual layout can reach 230 seats), free and unlimited Wi-Fi connection, as well as healthy and seasonal cuisine, for a unique business class experience. In addition to its comfort, the A321neo allows long-haul flights with a reduced carbon footprint since it consumes 30% less fuel than previous aircraft.
To celebrate the arrival of the first Americans on the Côte d'Azur, La Compagnie joined forces with its historical partners by offering each of the 50 passengers a half-bottle of Whispering Angel rosé, sunscreen cosmetics from the Caudalie brand and a Côte d'Azur Pass. Residents of the Côte d'Azur who go to New York will have the "New York on Foot" guide from nuinui editions.
Christian Vernet, Chairman of La Compagnie, commented: "This year, thanks to the lifting of health restrictions in France and the United States, as well as the development efforts made by all our employees, we are already seeing real enthusiasm for our line and the thrilling city of New York. The desire to travel is still there and our quality product, on board a modern aircraft and excellent value for money, attract many customers. »
“The return of La Compagnie to Nice Côte d’Azur airport represents an exceptional opportunity for the entire region, which reinforces its attractiveness to customers who want top-of-the-range service. By offering a direct route to the powerful hub of Newark, La Compagnie, a French air operator, is helping to strengthen our network of international destinations and the dynamism of our territory. By operating these flights with some of the most modern and least emissive aircraft, La Compagnie is extending our own efforts to reduce the environmental footprint of air transport", says Franck Goldnadel, Chairman of the Board of Aéroports de la Côte d' Azur.
