A Swiss tourist suspected of indecently assaulting three Cathay Pacific flight attendants on board a Hong Kong-bound flight was arrested when he landed in the city today, police said.
The man, 45, who was flying economy class, was accused of indecently assaulting the three women aged from 25 to 29 on separate occasions on a flight from Zurich this morning.
Hong Kong police were alerted shortly before 7:00 a.m.
After the plane landed at Hong Kong International Airport at about 7:00 a.m., officers went on board to investigate and arrested the man.
"We are investigating whether the man was under the influence of alcohol," a police source said.
The man is understood to have come to Hong Kong alone for sightseeing.
This afternoon, the tourist was still being detained at the airport police station for questioning and had not been charged.
The source said the man was likely to be charged with indecent assault.
Detectives from the airport police station are investigating.
