Shandong Airlines will launch its first ever flights to India this week.
Commencing on November 11, the airline will fly direct between Delhi and Kunming, the capital of southwest China's Yunnan province.
The new service will run four times a week (Mondays, Wednesday, Fridays and Sundays), with the Monday and Friday flights continuing onwards between Kunming and Jinan - the capital of Shandong province and Shandong Airlines' home base.
And later this month the airline will further expand its international route map with the launch of a new route connecting Jinan with Phuket. Flights will run six times a week (every day except Saturday), and the route will include a stop in Changsha, the capital of China's Hunan province.
The airline will deploy a Boeing 737 aircraft on both new routes.
Shandong Airlines, which is part-owned by Air China, operates an extensive domestic route map and international services to Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and Cambodia.
