As rain swipes across the country, Dubai International Airport (DXB) is going to experience some delays. The state of the weather and operations are the cause of the delays, but airport staff is working with airlines and other partners to take control of the situation.

A Dubai International Airport spokesperson said, “Dubai International is experiencing some delay in arrivals and departures owing to operational reasons and local weather conditions. Dubai Airports is working with airlines, air traffic control, and other partners to minimize any inconvenience to our customers. While passengers are advised to check airport website or contact their respective airline for updates on their flights, check-in times at the airport remain as normal.”

The drizzle started Saturday and has been continuous since with some showers, by afternoon it is expected to increase to steady showers. Monday is expected to be clear as the weather will move west during the evening and night.
