New services from New York to Martinique and Guadeloupe offer Brits chance to combine a low-cost ‘sun and city’ break in the U.S. and Caribbean
UK passengers travelling on Norwegian’s low-cost flights to the U.S. this winter now have the chance to add some sun to their city break with the launch of flights to the Caribbean from U.S. cities.

Norwegian’s inaugural flight from Boston to the French Caribbean island of Martinique took off today, while the first flights from New York and Baltimore/Washington to Martinique and Guadeloupe also depart this week. Brits travelling on Norwegian’s low-cost flights to New York now have the opportunity to combine an East coast city break with a sun and sand holiday in the Caribbean.

Norwegian now offers 14 direct flights from Gatwick to the U.S. with fares as low as £149 one-way. Travellers wishing to jet down to the Caribbean with Norwegian from New York, Boston or Baltimore/Washington DC can fly from as little as £34 one way.

Bjørn Kjos, Chief Executive Officer at Norwegian said: “For the first time in over 20 years there are now direct flights between the U.S. East coast and the stunning holiday islands of Martinique and Guadeloupe.

“This is great news for UK passengers looking for a low-cost sun and city break. UK travellers can fly with Norwegian to New York, spend a few days in the Big Apple and then fly on with us to the Caribbean. This gives our customers new and exciting travel options.”

Norwegian will be the only airline to offer free WiFi and live TV service between the U.S. and Caribbean using its Boeing 737-800 aircraft, which already operate on 29 routes from the UK to Europe.
