At the end of August, the first "Kepler Club" capsule hotel was officially opened in the Riga Airport terminal, which is the first hotel of this type in the airports of the Baltic countries; several new drinking water fountains were also installed.

More than 6 000 flights were served at Riga Airport in August; of them, 5 451 were passenger aircraft, and the rest were air cargo, business, military, and other flights. During the month, 663 tonnes of air cargo were handled, almost half of which were transported by cargo flights, and slightly more than half by passenger or other flights.
