Leisure carrier Small Planet Airlines GmbH made its first flight from Germany after signing an agreement with virtual airline and an air broker Involatus Carrier Consulting GmbH. The company will carry passengers from the following Germany and Switzerland airports: Bremen, Hanover, Hamburg, Munster, Dusseldorf, and Zurich. Passengers will fly to Canary Islands, Fuerteventura and La Palma.

“Small Planet Airlines flights from Germany are key to ensuring all customers’ satisfaction and fulfil their growing needs for a better traveling experience. We believe this is good news for the tourism sector as consumers will have access to more holiday destinations”, says Andreas Wobig, CEO at Small Planet Airlines GmbH.

Small Planet Airlines began offering its services to the German market earlier this year. The company is managed by Mr. Andreas Wobig and Mr. Oliver Pawel who worked previously for Germania. In the first half of 2016 Small Planet Airlines GmbH is planning to obtain a German air operator’s certificate and operate flights under the German registration

„Small Planet was from the beginning in a short list for our Canary Island operation. The German market is replete and Small Planet is young, fresh and remarkable. Through that successful collaboration we can count new destinations for our passengers and Small Planet can enter the German market quickly. It’s a win-win-situation for both parties,“ says Erkan Türkoral, CEO Involatus Carrier Consulting.

Small Planet Group, the majority shareholder of Small Planet Airlines GmbH, is also operating leisure airlines in Lithuania and Poland. The company offers flights to European and Asian passengers by 18 Airbus 320 aircraft.

During the first half of the year the income of Small Planet Group rose by 25.3%. The company is planning to invest added profits in the passenger comfort: during the upcoming year EUR 6 million will be spent on renewing all of its aircraft, making it the largest investment in the fleet renewal throughout the company’s history.

Involatus Carrier Consulting GmbH acts as a virtual airline and an air broker. Involatus creates its own flight plans, maintains passenger lists, takes care of special registrations, and transmits these allotments to travel agencies, tour operators and end customers. With more than 750.000 passengers in 2015 Involatus reached an income of 98 million EUR.
