According to the report, the decision will be in effect until October 27, 2016.

The United States has extended for another year a ban on flights of its aircraft to international airports of Crimea’s capital Simferopol and the Ukrainian city of Dnepropetrovsk. The U.S. Department of Transportation and the Federal Aviation Administration said on Thursday that the decision stemmed from the ongoing conflict in eastern Ukraine, which posed a danger to civil aviation flights.

According to the report, the decision will be in effect until October 27, 2016.

The ban applies to all U.S. passenger airlines, cargo carriers and persons with private pilot licenses, the U.S. aviation authorities said. They recalled that the ban on flights to Crimea and Ukraine’s eastern regions had been imposed by them in several stages since 2014.
