Pilot Advantage Club introduces initiative to protect the future of general aviation

The Pilot Advantage Club announced the formation of a new national initiative currently under development, designed to support one of the most critical and foundational segments of aviation: general aviation pilots who fly piston aircraft and rely on Avgas. General aviation is where the dream begins. It is the entry point for nearly every professional pilot, aircraft owner, and operator in the industry. It is where skills are built, passion is born, communities are created, and the next generation of aviation rises. Over time, operating priorities at many airports have evolved in response to changing demand, infrastructure requirements, and economic realities. Within that environment, piston general aviation and Avgas reliant flying can require more intentional support to remain accessible and sustainable.

PAC is being built to provide that support by reinforcing the long term importance of general aviation to the broader aviation ecosystem. Pilot Advantage Club is in the process of building a national club that will allow pilots to register once and access Avgas discounts across participating FBOs in the United States. The program is targeted to open in the second half of 2026 and is being designed to support piston general aviation by encouraging continued participation, loyalty, and engagement with airports that choose to remain supportive of this segment.

This is not a program built on volume promises or unrealistic expectations. It is built on principle. PAC’s value proposition recognizes that supporting general aviation requires intention, collaboration, and long term thinking, even when short term economics vary by market.

PAC is not asking FBOs to chase traffic or compromise their operating models. It is offering an opportunity to visibly support aviation and to build early relationships with pilots who represent the future of the industry. Pilots engaging with PAC include students, instructors, aircraft owners, and future turbine operators. The FBOs that choose to support them today are often the ones those pilots return to as their flying evolves.

Participation in PAC signals a commitment to aviation as a whole. Although PAC is still under development, early industry response has been strong.

Participation is being designed to be flexible, allowing FBOs to engage in ways that align with their operational and economic realities.

In some cases, that may involve Avgas pricing. In others, it may focus on visibility, engagement, or community support. The goal is not uniformity. The goal is impact. The Pilot Advantage Club will continue building its pilot community and FBO partner network ahead of a planned opening in the second half of 2026. The focus moving forward is simple: keep general aviation accessible, keep pilots flying, and support the airports and FBOs that choose to invest in this segment of the industry.
