Sun Aviation of Vero Beach Florida, has received its International Standard for Business Aircraft Handling (IS-BAH) certification. The company is the second US based FBO to receive the certificate.
“The receipt of the IS-BAH Certification represents nearly a year of hard work by the Sun Aviation team.”
Pete Holman, director of Operations at Sun Jet Center said: “The receipt of the IS-BAH Certification represents nearly a year of hard work by the Sun Aviation team. This achievement is shared by the whole Sun Operations group and illustrates our culture of continued improvement and dedication to safety for our team, our customers and our community. We are honoured to be recognized as a leader in development and integration of industry best practices.”
Tom Coughlin, president and CEO at Air-Sur, Inc. has worked with the Holman family and Sun Aviation for decades and said: “Sun’s receipt of the IS-BAH certification is another example of how this unique, independent, fourth generation, family-owned company, continues their impeccable safety record and consistently stays at the top of their game – and at the top of the industry.”
Sun Aviation has been a family run business since 1929. Bud Holman, whose sons and grandsons are now running Sun Aviation, was one of the members of the group that built the Vero Beach airport.
