Two Airbus A350s will be present at the Dubai air show, aQatar Airways aircraft complementing the airframer’s MSN2 which will conduct the flying display.
MSN2 is stopping at Dubai World Central’s Al-Maktoum airport as part of a Middle Eastern tour and is scheduled to depart to Ethiopia on 11 November, the airframer says.
The aircraft, which is cabin-fitted, travelled from Toulouse to Saudi Arabia and Kuwait during the tour, before arriving in Dubai.
Qatar Airways will also have an A350 on static display. The carrier has taken delivery of six A350-900s, the most recent pair on 29-30 October.
It will also have its 25th Boeing 787 on display at the show, the airline confirms, following a delivery event at Seattle on 4 November when the carrier received two of the type.
The airline was the Middle Eastern launch customer for the 787 and has been steadily increasing its fleet over the past three years.
Qatar Airways will be displaying one of its six Airbus A380s at the show. Airbus’s commercial aircraft presence will also include a corporate ACJ319, while Boeing will be showing a Flydubai 737-800.
