GlobeAir, the Austrian based leading air taxi operator in Europe with the world´s largest fleet of Citation Mustang jets, won the prestigious Export Award 2016 presented by the Austrian Chamber of Commerce.

The annual ceremony, organized by ADVANTAGE AUSTRIA, which represents the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber and the Austrian Federal Ministry of Science, Research, and Economy, was held on 21 June at the Museumsquartier in Vienna, in presence of Mr. Sebastian Kurz, Austrian Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Voted by an expert jury, composed of leading personalities from business, politics, and media, the gold prize in the "Transport and Traffic" category, jointly presented by the Vice Chancellor of Austria and Minister of Economy, Dr. Reinhold Mitterlehner and the President of the Austrian Chamber of Economy, Dr. Christoph Leitl, went to GlobeAir.

Mr.Bernhard Fragner , CEO of GlobeAir said: “When I founded GlobeAir in 2007, I would have never expected such recognition. This important award is a remarkable achievement for all of us. It is without any doubt a team milestone. We  are working hard to offer charter flights at affordable fares, aimed at increasing business productivity and efficiency in Austria and in the rest of Europe”.

Headquartered in Linz, next to the airport of Hörsching, GlobeAir takes pride in being the first mover in the Air Taxi sector in Europe, and among the fastest growing private jet charter operators.

Austrian by DNA and European for ambition, GlobeAir has proved to be an important brand outside and within its country. With the world´s largest fleet of modern Citation Mustang jets, GlobeAir offers time saving solutions for executive passengers and modern travelers, by ensuring direct access to more than 1.500 airports, including those typically inaccessible to commercial airlines and larger private jets, with greater flexibility and premium quality service.

Thanks to the Austrian Export Award GlobeAir scores a hat trick as earlier this month the Austrian air charter operator also received the Pegasus Award by PEGASUS 2016 during the Oberösterreichische Nachrichten just after the European Business Aviation (EBAA) Safety Certification, for its outstanding achievement.

As one of Austria’s top companies, GlobeAir safeguards local and international jobs

securing economic recovery in Austria, while adding value both in the aviation sector and the domestic export economy.
