A symposium on medical challenges in extreme air sports and aviation will act as a side event to the FAI World Air Games in Dubai.

Aeromedical doctors and experts and speakers will discuss issues relating to the medical challenges in air sports and aviation.

The event is organised by the FAI Medico-Physiological Commission and the Dubai medical authorities, and is the first symposium to be held on air sport medicine in UAE.

FAI President Dr John Grubbström said: “We made a point of tailoring it to meet the needs and interests of all doctors involved in air sports medicine or in other aviation medicine activities. This together with the fact that it will take place, so to say, in the middle of the action of the FAI World Air Games, add to the exceptional nature of the Symposium. We look forward to welcoming a large number of participants.”

The symposium will be listed in the FAI World Air Games programme which will provide the chance for attendees to interact with aerial athletes.
