AFI KLM E&M has signed an agreement with UTC Aerospace Systems, a unit of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX) covering aircraft maintenance services in connection with Airbus A350 components supplied by the North American OEM.
The go-to partner for A350 operators
The powerful ties it has forged with the leading OEMs mean that AFI KLM E&M has been able to develop one of the market’s most comprehensive and competitive offers. UTC Aerospace Systems supports a global customer base, with significant worldwide manufacturing and customer service facilities and is one of the leading OEMs for the A350.
An extended A350 MRO offering
With this agreement, AFI KLM E&M is further extending its array of dedicated MRO solutions for the new-generation Airbus widebody, which include line maintenance and airframe, components and engines, and entry-into-service support. This multi-facetted approach recently convinced Air Caraïbes to entrust full support for its A350 fleet to AFI KLM E&M.
Fabrice Defrance, Senior Vice President Commercial AFI KLM E&M, said: “The team is pulling out all the stops to offer the most effective and comprehensive support solutions for A350 operators. The signing and implementing of this agreement with UTC Aerospace Systems is part of that drive to offer the best to our clients in every aircraft maintenance segment: airframe, components and engines, starting with Air Caraïbes, with who we’ve signed the world first A350 full support contract.”
