ALSIM is supporting the advancement of pilot training in Malaysia through ADMAL Flying Academy’s acquisition of an AL250 simulator. The addition of the device will enhance the academy’s Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL/IR) and Frozen ATPL programmes, giving cadets access to a highly realistic and consistent training environment designed to strengthen skill development and operational readiness.
Designed to meet a wide range of ab initio and professional pilot training requirements, the AL250 supports PPL, CPL, Instrument Rating and Multi-Engine Rating instruction. The reconfigurable SEP/MEP simulator is certified as an EASA FNPT II, FAA AATD and Transport Canada FTD Level 2 device with IPC capability. It also allows seamless switching between analogue and glass cockpit configurations, enabling trainees to gain experience across multiple cockpit environments. Since its introduction, the AL250 has achieved strong global adoption, with more than 125 units successfully installed and in operation worldwide.
Adam S Malek, Chief Operating Officer at ADMAL Flying Academy commented: “Recently, ADMAL engaged with ALSIM for the acquisition of the ALSIM AL250 mainly to strengthen our current training program and bring advanced standards to basic-level training. The new simulator will be deployed to enhance the academy's flight training, giving cadets access to realistic, repeatable procedural and instrument training while they progress to ADMAL's fleet of Piper Warrior and Piper Seneca aircraft. Investing in the ALSIM AL250 reflects our commitment to giving ADMAL cadets training that matches modern airline standards. It gives us a safe, cost-efficient way to build handling and instrument skills to a consistently high level before cadets ever step into one of our aircraft, and it reinforces our position as the only ATO in the region offering the complete CPL/IR and Frozen ATPL pathway alongside our own maintenance and engineering training.”
Maximilien Le Moing, Sales Manager at ALSIM, stated: ” It has been a pleasure working with Adam and the ADMAL Flying Academy team on this project. We quickly identified the AL250 as a good fit for their training needs, especially with the flexibility to cover both single-engine and multi-engine training. It is also great to see another training organization in Southeast Asia investing in modern simulation technology to support the next generation of pilots. I am very happy to welcome ADMAL Flying Academy to the ALSIM community and look forward to supporting their development in Malaysia in the coming years.”
