Cirrus Aircraft launched its Mission Ready Simulator Sessions, a comprehensive, year-long simulator training program developed specifically for Cirrus SR20 and Cirrus SR22 pilots. The complimentary program is now live and available at participating Cirrus Training Centers in the U.S. Mission Ready Simulator delivers 24 structured, mission-based simulator sessions released twice per month, giving SR Series pilots a continuous, scenario-driven pathway to maintain and elevate proficiency year-round. Pilots may complete one of the two available sessions each month—for a total of up to 12 sessions annually—providing flexibility while encouraging consistent, ongoing engagement.
Zean Nielsen, Chief Executive Officer of Cirrus commented: “Extensive aviation research along with decades of operational experience in flight training environments continues to demonstrate that structured simulation is one of the most effective tools for strengthening pilot decision-making and sustaining proficiency. The Cirrus Mission Ready Simulator Sessions program represents the first phase of a broader investment to expand flight training content designed to enhance safety through continuous learning.”
All Mission Ready Simulator Sessions are developed by experienced Cirrus Standardized Instructor Pilots. Through each course, Cirrus pilots complete operational missions that integrate real-world decision-making, aircraft systems knowledge application, risk management and purposeful use of Cirrus aircraft features. Realistic ATC communications are embedded within each scenario, and instructors are supported with clearly defined objectives and integrated decision points to ensure high-quality flight training.
Mission Ready Simulator Sessions is currently live. Regular content updates are delivered within the first week of each month. Pilots can enroll through Cirrus Approach™ and complete sessions at participating Cirrus Training Centers nationwide.
