Including a unique portfolio of completion and maintenance for ACJ350

Lufthansa Technik AG is prepared for the technical services on A350 XWB for both, commercial and VIP customers. The company is already holding the approval of the European airworthiness authority EASA (European Aviation Safety Agency) as Maintenance Organization for the new aircraft type (Part 145 approval) and is supporting different airlines with MRO services for the A350 XWB.

Lufthansa Technik has been significantly contributing to the development and design of the A350 XWB over the past years. The company's engineers participated in Airbus A350 Customer Focus Groups and supported the manufacturer with respect to maintainability and maturation.

The company's portfolio for this aircraft type already comprises an extensive package of ready maintenance and repair services, such as fleet management, line maintenance, engineering services including troubleshooting and software management, component MRO and pool services, on wing support on composite structure and engines, and overhaul and maintenance on the auxiliary power units (APU).

A dedicated "Entry-into-Service" Team is currently preparing the phase-in of the company's own Lufthansa A350XWB aircraft, planned to arrive in November 2016, being the first out of 25 orders joining Lufthansa's fleet.

In addition to its position as a leading global provider of technical services for its commercial customers, Lufthansa Technik is also able to offer a unique portfolio of completion and maintenance services for ACJ350 users in the VIP market.

"Through our intensive, long-standing cooperation with Airbus, our participation in all the expert symposia related to the A350, and our ongoing experience with the first commercial customers for this aircraft type, we are also able to offer all the engineering, completion and technical services for the ACJ350 at the highest possible level," emphasizes Carsten Wortmann, Corporate Product Manager, A350 Lufthansa Technik Market Entry.

Lufthansa Technik's VIP & Executive Jet Solutions Division is offering the necessary capacity for VIP completions of this aircraft type at its completion facility in Hamburg / Germany. About 270 square meters of cabin space offer a large variety of possibility's to fulfill also the most exclusive customer wishes. Lufthansa Technik's Creative Design department is currently developing ideas for an exclusive interior concept.

The A350 XWB is a new chapter in Lufthansa Technik's long history of providing cabin interiors for the newest, most modern widebody VIP aircraft types: the first Airbus A340 in 1994; the first Boeing 777 in 2000; the first Airbus A330-200 in 2008; the first Boeing 767-400 in 2013, the first Boeing 747-8 this year.
