Serbian Defense Minister Bratislav Gasic and First Deputy Director of Russia’s Federal Service for Military-Tecnhincal Cooperation Andrey Boitsov signed a protocol on establishing a regional center on servicing Russian-made helicopters in Serbia, the Serbian Defense Ministry’s press service said on Wednesday.

The defense ministry reminded that the project was initiated during Serbian prime minister’s visit to Russia in October 2015.

"The project envisages establishing a regional center in the Republic of Serbia for servicing Russian-made helicopters that are used in the region and in the world. The sides will coordinate the details and deadlines for implementing the project in the future," the press service said. "Both sides assessed the project as one of priority directions of future cooperation in the military-technical sphere," the defense ministry stressed.
