TARMAC Aerosave, aircraft transition, storage, maintenance and recycling center specialized in storage, celebrates the 10th anniversary of its Spanish facility located in Teruel. On this occasion, the group inaugurates its 3rd Aragon hangar and confirms the facility growth goals. In 10 years, TARMAC Aerosave has welcomed at Teruel 450 aircraft and has permitted to more than 290 ones to get back to the sky.
For the 10 years of its second location (Tarbes has been opened in 2007, Teruel in 2013, Toulouse in 2017), TARMAC Aerosave organised for its customers and partners a day of guided tours and an evening celebration. After visiting the facilities and the several activity areas - storage, maintenance, recycling - the new double-bay A380 hangar has been inaugurated with some Aragon’s government representatives being present and Emma Buj Sànchez, Teruel’s mayor.
Alexandre Brun, TARMAC Aerosave CEO and Pedro Saez, Teruel Director, have thank the government for its support. It is because its initiative that this airport has welcomed TARMAC Aerosave in 2013, originally aimed to the aircraft transition activities. With 120 parking spots, it has become the biggest aircraft storage site of Europe, followed by Tarbes’ facility, TARMAC Aerosave headquarters.

Brand new double-bay wide-body hangar
Ten years after the first aircraft’s arrival at Teruel, a Martinair’s Boeing 747, the Teruel’s site has become a world reference in terms of wide-body aircraft storage, maintenance and return to service.
A 3rd hangar of a A380 capacity, has been inaugurated on the 14th of September 2023, and will permit to satisfy the customers’, aircraft owners’ and airlines’ growing demands, attached to this site because its capacities and meteorological conditions.
Within the scope of this development, numbers of recruitments are opened for technicians and mechanics jobs. During the anniversary celebration, the first ten collaborators that have been hired in 2013, have been symbolically honored.
From 2013 to 2023, TARMAC Aerosave has welcomed 450 aircraft at Teruel (1470 over the three facilities) and has put back in flight more than 290 ones (1000 over the three sites).
