Just one year after the laying of the foundation stone, ELISA AEROSPACE, School of Aeronautics, Space, Technologies of the Future and Transport of the Future, welcomed on January 3rd in its new premises - a building of 5,600 m2 - more than 260 students evolving in two training courses: Engineers (in 5 years) and Assistant Engineer "Bachelor Sciences and Techniques - Transport Industry" (in 3 years). Already present in the Hauts-de-France and Neo-Aquitaine regions, the school still intends to train the best engineers and engineering assistants to meet the challenges of the aeronautics, space, defense and transportation industries of the future.

A first OPEN DAY on Saturday, January 28 (10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.) - intended for high school students, baccalaureate holders, students in CPGE (Classes préparatoires en Grandes Écoles) or already in their first year of study - will allow students to discover this brand new environment, which is conducive to the deployment of the skills of a rapidly emerging industry, with two major thrusts: the challenge of the "New Space" model (new economic models that promote agility and innovation in the space sector) and that of the "low-carbon" airplane, which requires engineers who are both agile and aware of the environmental challenges.

Chantal de Turckheim, Founder and Director of ELISA AEROSPACE commented: "Providing these young people with the best fundamental skills to allow innovation to emerge and reveal their personality is what we are committed to doing at ELISA AEROSPACE. We are proud to see the realization of the strategic project of a school on a human scale that provides high quality teaching. We prepare our students to evolve in a constantly changing environment, to be able to innovate and be agile in order to meet the challenges of mobility and transportation of the future."

A new place to training best engineers
The 260 students, 25 professors and researchers, and administrative and supervisory staff are invited to take advantage of the agora's bright, friendly and uncluttered work and relaxation areas, as well as the multi-sports field and the new facilities, with 19 classrooms. Classrooms for seminars, computing and practical work (electronics, physics and EEA) and a fablab make ELISA AEROSPACE Bordeaux a place designed for working, learning, living and relaxing.

Starting in April, the student center, the place to be for aeronautics and space enthusiasts, will also open its doors near the multi-sports field. On the first floor, more than 210 m2 of convivial space equipped with a bar/cafeteria, opening onto a terrace. Changing rooms for sportsmen, users of the workshops and garages will be available. On the first floor, 10 offices will house associations that will be able to take advantage of a terrace intended for observation and photography of the sky. A second building is planned for 2025.

ELISA AEROSPACE engineers now integrate Green Engineering. Thus, they work on the concepts of "Design to cost", "Design of Products and processes" and "Design to Support and Services", to be ready to integrate the evolutions in terms of eco-design, impact on the carbon footprint and decarbonization, cost control, technologies of the future, Artificial Intelligence, control and exploitation of digital data and cyber security.
