Dassault Systèmes and Embraer announced that Dassault Systèmes' simulation technologies have been used to simulate, analyse and test Eve Air Mobility eVTOL in a virtual environment. Dassault Systèmes' SIMULIA PowerFLOW software was used to robustly and reliably simulate the aircraft's fluid dynamics and predict real-world operating conditions, enabling Embraer and Eve Air Mobility engineers to assess its behaviour, as well as test the level of its noise emissions.

David Ziegler, Vice President Aerospace and Defence Industry at Dassault Systèmes commented: "The main advantage of eVTOL aircraft is that they are powered by an electric energy source, making them a more sustainable solution than combustion aircraft. However, as they operate in an urban environment, reducing noise levels is a major design challenge. SIMULIA's fluid dynamics solutions will enable Embraer and Eve Air Mobility to experiment and optimise the most critical aspects of their EVTOL aircraft in a virtual environment."

Micael Gianini, Head of Interiors, Noise & Vibration at Embraer said: "By demonstrating their accuracy compared to experimental results, validated numerical models help speed up product definition. The human-centred design guarantees a high level of safety, accessibility and comfort for passengers, pilots and the general public, while minimising noise emissions.

Embraer and Eve Air Mobility are working with global partners as part of their commitment to safely deliver integrated, human-centred urban air mobility (UAM) solutions that are more reliable, affordable and sustainable.

In July 2023, Embraer and Eve Air Mobility announced that Eve Air Mobility's first eVTOL production site will be located in Taubaté, in the state of São Paulo, Brazil. The manufacturer has begun assembling its first full-scale eVTOL prototype, which will be followed by a test campaign in 2024. The first deliveries and entry into service of Eve Air Mobility's eVTOL are scheduled for 2026.
