PAL-V got support and advises from GKN Fokker, to make the future of mobolity a reality. An MOU was signed during las edition of PAS.

GKN Fokker will advise and assist PAL-Vin design, certification, engineering, and manufacturing of its products. This will further accelerate the certification and production start of the PAL-V Liberty, the world’s first commercial flying car. GKN Aerospaceis the world’s leading multi-technology tier 1 aerospacesupplier.

According to Robert Dingemanse, CEO of PAL-V: “GKN Fokker’s assistance strengthens our business with the capabilities and technologies of a world leader in the aviation industry. It’s fantastic that GKN Fokker will assist us in the finalisation of the PAL-V Liberty: the production and final certification.”Adriaan Leyte, VP New Business Development at GKN Fokker continues: “PAL-V is an exciting company in the growing personal flying mobility market. We are happy to support them in taking the next step. This innovative product can help the aviation industry in moving to the next chapter of personal flying mobility. As GKN Fokker, we want to assist them in their growth.”

The PAL-V Liberty fully complies with the existing rules and regulations. The PAL-V is based on the gyroplane, the easiest and safest way of flying. The PAL-V offers real door-to-door flying mobility by combining both flying and driving in one vehicle. This allows the PAL-V users to reach their destination regardless of weather conditions or the availability of infrastructure. Next to private use, there are many professional applications, such as police, border control, military, coast guard and first responder. PAL-V and GKN Fokker will explore the possibilities of building special versions at a GKN Fokker site, this will offer the required security levels which PAL-V does not have at its standard production facility. “This is important as the interest from professional customers is growing rapidly”: says Dingemanse.

PAL-V is currently in the final stage of certifying the PAL-V Liberty called compliance demonstration. This will take until the beginning of 2021 when the first PAL-V Liberties will be delivered to the world's first FlyDrivers.
