On November 16, 2015 in Gloucester (United Kingdom), Messier-Bugatti-Dowty (Safran) signed a contract to provide overhaul services for Iberia, a member of IAG (International Airlines Group).

The 10-year contract concerns the maintenance of landing gear on Airbus A320 family aircraft which will be provided by Messier-Bugatti-Dowty’s facilities in Gloucester and Querétaro (Mexico), depending on the location of the fleets involved. It extends the existing partnership on the maintenance of Iberia’s Airbus A340-600 and British Airways’ A320 family aircraft landing gear, respectively provided by Messier-Bugatti-Dowty at its Molsheim (France) and Gloucester plants.

Messier Bugatti-Dowty is now the landing gear MRO services provider for all of IAG’s Airbus A320 family aircraft.

“With a total of some 280 aircraft, our overall contract with IAG is the largest ever signed by our MROdivision since its creation in 2001,” said Vincent Mascré, Chief Executive Officer of Messier-Bugatti-Dowty. “I would like to thank IAG for this expression of confidence, and I would also like to congratulate our teams in Molsheim, Gloucester and Querétaro for this success, crowning their operational and commercial excellence over the years.”

“British Airways named Gloucester as one of our best service providers in 2014,” added Mal Murphy, IAG’s Global Head of Direct Procurement. “The signature of Iberia contract today fully reflects our satisfaction with Messier-Bugatti-Dowty’s services.”
