On November 27 PJSC Irkut Corporation,where the newest Russian airliner MC-21-300 with PD-14 engine is being built, got important visit. The Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov, together with the Governor of the Irkutsk Region Igor Kobzev. During the visit to the enterprise, the minister was accompanied by Director General of PJSC UAC Yuri Slyusar and Director General of the Irkutsk Aviation Plant - Deputy Director General of the Irkut Corporation Alexander Veprev.
“Today we saw the MC-21-310 aircraft, which will make its first flight with the PD-14 engine by the end of the year. Flight certification tests of MC-21-300 aircraft continue. Our task is to obtain a Russian certificate by the end of next year. And then we look forward to validation according to the European standards of the EASA agency, ”said Russian Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov.
The head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade got acquainted with the production of MC-21-300 aircraft intended for the first customers, and the preparation of the MC-21-310 aircraft with a PD-14 engine for flight tests. To date, the fuel system of the MC-21-310 aircraft has been tested for leaks and tested. Auxiliary and cruise power plants were launched. PD-14 engines have been tested in nominal conditions. In preparation for the first flight of MC-21-310, the engine and related aircraft systems are being tested.
