Tecnam announced the delivery of the first batch of two P2012 Travellers to Pacific Air Charters Inc, which will expand its operations in Samoa under the "Pago Wings" brand. Pacific Air Charters Inc, which has been operating in Hawaii since 2003, has already purchased two Tecnam P2012 Traveller aircraft. This delivery follows the signing of an order for two P2012 aircraft plus twenty-three additional options. The P2012 is specifically designed for small, short-haul markets such as Hawaii and Samoa, and the Tecnam Traveller will update the fleet serving these routes.
Marshall Ashley, CEO of Pacific Air Charters Inc. commented: "We believe the Tecnam Traveller is a superior aircraft designed specifically for markets like American Samoa. These aircraft are brand new, comfortable, safe and reliable! We can't wait to make them available to American Samoa's domestic travellers."
Francesco Sferra, P2012 - Special Mission Platform Sales and Business Development Manager, Experimental Test Pilot, said: "Tecnam is proud to partner with Pacific Air Charters to provide to the Pago Wings passengers the “best in class” experience for their flights in the American Samoa. The mission profile, orography of the region and geographical position make the Traveller the ideal choice to enhance safety and comfort for over water connections between islands and atolls outfitted of small runways. Passengers will experience the superior cabin comfort, the superb view from all seats, and the on-board amenities like Air Conditioning".
The Traveller, which comfortably seats nine passengers with one or two crew, is a new generation, turbocharged, twin-engine, high wing, fixed wing aircraft. The choice of Pacific Air Charters provides customers with cost-effective and diverse configuration options, while delivering the experience that discerning travellers expect, such as premium interiors, air conditioning, in-seat power, superior legroom and under-seat stowage.
