Piaggio Aerospace has delivered two Avanti Evos to European customers, bringing the total shipments of the twin-engined turboprop in 2015 to three aircraft.
WinAir of Germany and an undisclosed customer each took delivery of the seven-seat aircraft in December. The launch customer, Superior Air of Greece, received the first Evo in April – nearly a year after the programme’s launch.
“The third generation P180 Avanti has established itself as one of the most efficient, environmentally friendly, elegant and comfortable aircraft of its category,” says Piaggio chief commercial officer Francescomaria Tuccillo (pictured).

“Further contracts and deliveries are expected soon in North America, Middle East, Asia and Africa. As the only business aircraft completely designed and produced in Italy, we are particularly proud of the aircraft’s global market growth,” he continues.
Piaggio has a backlog of 10 Evos and plans to deliver up to eight of the type in 2016.
The $7.4 million Evo is an upgraded and higher performance version of the 10-year-old Avanti II.
It features a host of refinements, including a new landing gear designed by Italian company Magnaghi; a revamped, quieter interior; winglets; a reshaped front wing; and five-blade composite scimitar propellers.
