RoyalJet, Abu Dhabi-based global premium private jet operator, has announced the selection of CFM LEAP-1A engines as the power source for its new fleet of ACJ320neo aircraft currently on order with Airbus. CFM LEAP engines have experienced the fastest ramp in commercial aviation history, with 4,000 aircraft in just nine years. In February this year, RoyalJet placed firm orders of three ACJ320neo aircraft and six purchase rights in line with its strategy to enhance and broaden its product portfolio offering to customers.

Advanced technologies like composite fan blades and ceramic matrix composites deliver an engine that’s 15 percent more fuel efficient, with 15 percent lower carbon emissions than prior-generation CFM56 engines. Backed by advanced health monitoring systems and an open MRO ecosystem with dozens of shops around the world, LEAP engines offer high reliability and enable high asset utilization for narrowbody aircraft.

Mohammed Husain Ahmed, Acting CEO, RoyalJet commented: “CFM International and its LEAP engines have built a solid reputation in the market for its safety, reliability and fuel efficiency. Their impeccable track record of being the preferred engine provider for such type of aircraft as the ACJ320neo is almost unquestionable. We are therefore excited to partner with CFM International as our aircraft engine provider as we aim to continue to deliver to customers our distinct brand of service and operational excellence that we at RoyalJet have been known for all these years.”

Gaël Méheust, President and CEO of CFM International stated: “We are honored to take our relationship with RoyalJet to another level. This partnership reflects RoyalJet’s trust in the LEAP-1A engine’s cutting-edge technology, operational reliability, and fuel efficiency. We are proud to contribute to RoyalJet’s vision of delivering world-class service and operational excellence, and we look forward to supporting the success of their new Airbus fleet.”
