SKYTRAC , a global leader in satellite communications (satcom) and intelligent connectivity solutions, is excited to announce that it is supporting Coulson Aviation, a global leader in aerial firefighting with a next-generation multi-mission fleet, in publicly tracking the journey of their Philippine Mars aircraft as it begins its final relocation journey to the Pima Air and Space Museum in Tucson, Arizona. Equipped with a SKYTRAC unit, the Philippine Mars will be available to track in SKYTRAC’s TrooTrax software at a public link.

If the weather permits, Philippine Mars's journey will begin on December 15 at 10:00 AM PST and can be publicly tracked using SKYTRAC’s TrooTrax flight tracking and operational control software. This tracking data is shared via SKYTRAC’s satcom unit, which is being utilized by Coulson Aviation’s team to transmit real-time flight tracking data of the aircraft over Iridium for their operational control team.

Anyone interested in tracking the Philippine Mars voyage can do so here: https://apps6.trootrax.com/web. Sign in to view the Philippine Mars with the following credentials:

Password: XMAS

Please be aware that the sign-in credentials are case-sensitive.

To live track the aircraft, right-click on the C-FLYK asset on the left and select the “Track Asset” option from the list that appears. Please be aware that public tracking of the aircraft will cease upon its entry into Arizona to ensure the crew's and aircraft's safety as it approaches its undisclosed landing site.

“We are excited to be involved with this milestone journey for Coulson Aviation and its Philippine Mars aircraft,” said Mandi Skinner, Regional Business Manager at SKYTRAC. “As a long-time partner with Coulson Aviation, SKYTRAC is proud to provide the flight tracking and satellite solutions Coulson Aviation requires to continue their mission to protect the world from forest fires.”

As Coulson Aviation’s primary supplier of flight-tracking software and hardware for its fleet, SKYTRAC has a longstanding history of flight-tracking solutions for aerial firefighting operations like Coulson. SKYTRAC is proud to have provided Coulson Aviation with operational load monitoring (OLM), flight tracking, global voice and text communication, and aerial firefighting data for many years. Coulson Aviation utilizes SKYTRAC’s satellite units throughout its multi-mission fleet.
