Ilaria Iacobini of Universal Aviation and Kevin Ducksbury of Emerge Aviation have been elected to join the Council of BACA - The Air Charter Association.  Their appointments come following the departure of two of the Council’s longest serving members; Bernard Keay and former Chairman Dick Gilbert.

Ilaria Iacobini is the Ground Handling Sales Manager EMEA for Universal Aviation, the ground support division of Universal Weather and Aviation, Inc. With more than 15 years’ experience in the aviation industry Ilaria works with Universal’s European FBOs and the wider global  network of 50+ ground support locations in 20+ countries.

Speaking about her appointment to the BACA Council Ilaria advises "I am extremely happy to have been appointed as a new member of the BACA Council, this means I am part of an extraordinary group of aviation professionals who work together to secure our industry's integrity, standards and ethics."

Kevin Ducksbury has extensive experience in the air charter industry, with a 30 year career that includes many years working with Monarch Airlines and Air London (now Air Partner). While with Air Partner Kevin spent time in Dubai as the Director of Operations for the Middle East & Asia. Since returning to the UK in 2012 Kevin has set up his own aviation consultancy and management services company, Emerge Aviation, which has worked with a wide range of companies involved in the aircraft charter industry.

On joining the BACA Council Kevin commented “ For me joining the council means I have an opportunity to give back to an industry that I have been involved with for 30 years. To help shape new initiatives and policies that both companies and individuals in the industry can benefit from is an exciting prospect. I look forward to working with my fellow council members to continue the great work that has so far been realised by BACA.”

BACA Chairman Richard Mumford added “We are delighted to welcome Ilaria and Kevin to the BACA Council. As BACA continues to move forward and represent the interest of our members I am sure that these two new Council members will further enhance our strategy for BACA, to be the global voice of the air charter industry.”
