Dublin Aerospace is pleased to announce the appointment of Michael Tyrrell as the Chief Executive Officer.
With over 20 years’ experience in airline MRO Michael joins us from Vector Aerospace where he has been the Managing Director of the UK division since 2011. He started his career in the construction industry with Kentz UK, working on various projects in the London area as he trained as an Accountant. In 1993 he became the Commercial Manager of their Spanish subsidiary, where he was responsible for the Finance and Quantity surveying departments.
In 1995 Michael joined TEAM Aer Lingus as the Commercial Manager for their Aircraft Overhaul Division, over the years at Team Aer Lingus Michael also gained valuable experience leading other areas including Outsourcing, APU, component, and Landing Gear departments. Ultimately Michael accepted the position of General Manager of the Aircraft Overhaul Division.
In 2010 Michael joined Vector UK as Operations Director for their rotary and component departments. In 2011 he was promoted to Managing Director with responsibility for the UK business (over $150million turnover and an 800+ strong team).
Michael holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from University College Cork, an MBA from Dublin City University and is a Fellow of both the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and the Royal Aeronautical Society.
