The name of a new era in personal flying was unveiled by Tecnam - RIVALE
"For just a moment I would like you to forget everything you know about airplanes. Forget the numbers. Forget the categories. Forget the comparisons.More than 500 years ago Leonardo Da Vinci vrote: "Details make perfection and perfection is not a detail." That idea has shapen the Italian way to create for centuries. Artists, architects, designers, craftsmen, engineers."... you hear these words by Tecnam Managing Director Giovanni Pascale Langer and your journey begins.
Tecnam officially unveiled the name and the first physical design elements of its highly anticipated new aircraft program: Tecnam Rivale.Revealed to a packed crowd that braved the rain during a landmark press conference at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh, the Tecnam Rivale represents a bold new chapter aimed at redefining the personal flying experience. The name "Rivale" (Rival) reflects Tecnam's internal drive for continuous progress and evolution.
Introduced by Brandon Martini of Stratus Financial and presented by Tecnam Managing Director Giovanni Pascale Langer, the unveiling deliberately defied any convention by revealing a breathtaking 3,000-pound stainless steel sculpture meticulously crafted, shaped, welded and polished over several months. This monumental, artistic statement intentionally showcased the definitive conceptand first defining lines of the Rivale.
The formidable steel structure was perfectly coupled with the aircraft's actual engine cowling, proudly housing the newly announced Continental V6 enginededicated to the Tecnam Rivale, and a bespoke MT Propeller, also customized for the Rivale in both shape and livery.
The installation invites visitors to discover the meticulous attention to detail embodied in just the first three feet of the aircraft. Everything beyond has deliberately been left unseen, encouraging the aviation world to imagine what lies beyond the nose, all the way to the tail and wingtips, until the complete aircraft is publicly unveiled next year. In the months ahead, Tecnam will progressively reveal new details, insights and design elements, allowing the Rivale story to unfold chapter by chapter.
Giovanni Pascale Langer, Tecnam Managing Director, stated: "What is missing from the experience of personal flying today? And perhaps even more importantly, what should it truly feel like? To us, personal flying has never been simply about travelling from one place to another. It is about freedom. Emotion. Beauty. Time. And the people you choose to share it with. Our greatest rival has never been another manufacturer. It has always been ourselves. Every new Tecnam has one responsibility: To challenge the Tecnam that came before it... Not simply to create another aircraft, but to create what we believe has been missing from the experience of personal flying."
Bringing this ambitious vision to reality requires extraordinary collaboration with industry leaders who share a passion for excellence and innovation. Shattering expectations, Tecnam announced two major technological milestones for the new aircraft: The Rivale will be powered by the highly efficient, powerful and dedicated V6 Continental CD-300-Series Jet-A/SAF engine, and it will be the very first aircraft to feature the revolutionary new Garmin G2000 Prime avionics suite, enveloped in a cockpit that will definitely surprise with its lines and shapes.Following the reveal, Tecnam invited the strategic partners who have been essential to the Rivale project to the stage. Representing the pinnacle of aviation technology, these visionary partners extended their congratulations to Tecnam on this historic milestone and shared their excitement for the future of the program:

As the journey unfolds over the coming months, each new reveal will offer a deeper understanding of the vision, craftsmanship and innovation that define Rivale.
Rivale announcement builds upon Tecnam's 75-year legacy of engineering excellence, with a global fleet of over 8,200 aircraft operating in more than 65 countries. The company's display at Oshkosh highlights this pedigree, featuring the U.S. premiere of the flagship P2012 Traveller VIP twin-engine aircraft and the new elegant P2010 Gran Lusso 215 hp, which made its debut featuring new full factory-certified air conditioning.
