The 4th Annual Civil Helicopter Industry International Forum 2020 was held in Liyang City, Jiangsu Province on October 29, 2020. The forum is hosted by Chinese Society of Aeronautics and Astronautics; supported by Liyang Government, Helicopter Sub-committee of CSAA , Shanghai General Aviation Association; organized by China Helicopter Design and Research Institute, AVIC Changhe Aircraft Industry (Group) Corporation Ltd., LIYANG ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ZONE IN JIANGSU PROVINCE, Galleon (Shanghai) Consulting Co., Ltd.

The forum invited experts and leaders from more than 30 units, including the government, main engine units, design institutes, parts and technology suppliers, associations, universities, and navigation operators. This forum focuses on some hot topics such as the enlightenment of the epidemic on the development of civil helicopters, emergency rescue aviation system planning, helicopter application and personnel training, flight safety and other hot topics.

Gao Zhiwu, Technical expert from Civil Aircraft R & D Department and Airworthiness Engineering Center of China Helicopter Design and Research Institute, shared the enlightenment of new crown disease on civil helicopter development from three aspects: helicopter application in epidemic prevention and control, impact of epidemic on civil helicopter market, and consideration on development of civil helicopter industry in China. In order to seek win-win development, he also said that civil helicopter industry should adhere to open cooperation, we should deepen international cooperation in joint venture research and global supply chain system.

At the forum, Bernard Plaza, CEO of China of Safran Helicopter Engines , put forward innovative solutions for the future, such as manufacturing more green helicopter engines, using biofuels, reducing noise, and innovative production and maintenance procedures in future factories, and improving our digital services, so that the engine has a strong digital communication with the whole aircraft.
The forum aims to carry out international and regional non-governmental scientific and technological exchange activities, promote friendly exchanges between experts and scholars in the industry, promote advanced technology, promote the application of aviation technology, promote the commercialization of scientific and technological achievements, and contribute to the construction of a powerful civil aviation country.
