【Event Background】

Smart technology has become a key driver for the continued development of helicopters. The new generation of information technology provides a solid technical basis for unmanned, intelligent and clustered helicopters, which also represent cutting-edge expertise. This will lead to the upgrading of the helicopter manufacturing industry. Helicopters are a combination of power systems, mechanical structures and avionics, and their unmanned and intelligent nature will directly drive the iterative upgrading of related manufacturing industries.

By 2040, helicopter scale will exceed 10,000, combined market share of ultra-light and light helicopter will achieve 76.9%, while medium and large helicopter market share is 14.2% and 8.5% respectively. Furthermore, Chinese navigation flight time will likely break through 8 million hours by 2040, and Chinese general aviation market and aircraft scale continue to expand.

Viewed from policy, low-altitude airspace management reform has been put into Chinese 14th Five-year Plan, implementing airspace resource classification refined management to optimize the national air route network. Meanwhile, strengthen the capacity for airworthiness certification, and promote the demonstration operation of C919 jets and the serialized development of ARJ21 regional jets, heavy-lift helicopters and plateau type UAV, etc. As well as consolidate the development of intelligent storage and distribution facilities and equipment.

The forum aims to better integrate the resources of helicopter industry chain, discuss the theoretical research and future development direction of technology frontier, provide a professional communication platform for domestic and foreign helicopter manufacturers and operators, and help the rapid and steady development of helicopter industry.
