J&C Aero, an international aviation design and production company has announced the successful certification of its Cargo Seat Bags for use inside Boeing 737 CL/NG passenger cabins. The latest approval is the company’s second EASA STC for Cargo Seat Bags that was previously approved for Airbus A320 Family passenger cabins.
Designed prior to and produced at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, J&C Aero’s Cargo Seat Bags entered the market as the industry’s only EASA-approved solution that allowed aircraft operators to transport cargo inside a passenger cabin without the need to remove the seats.
The latest Supplemental Type Certificate allows the use of the bags for the transportation of commercial and humanitarian cargo inside Boeing 737 Classic and Next Generation with a load of up to 84 kg per seat, or 252 kg per seat triplet.
“We focus on solutions that actually help the airline industry to battle its day-to-day challenges. Whether it is the pandemic or other short or long-term market changes, the ability to promptly convert one’s fleet from passenger to cargo operations without substantial investments can be vital to many airlines. With this in mind, we presented the EASA-approved cargo bags back in 2020. And now, we are happy to extend them for use inside Boeing 737 CL/NG as well!” shared Vitalijus Malyška, COO at J&C Aero.
J&C Aero is an international aviation center for innovation in cabin transformation and CAMO. As an EASA-certified design, production, maintenance, and CAMO organization, J&C Aero provides extensive cabin interior and repair solutions for narrow and wide-body aircraft operators and owners.
