An investigation following the blast on board a Daallo Airlines aircraft has shown that the device may have been hidden inside a laptop, the Times Live has reported.

"The initial investigation results indicate that the bomb was planted in a laptop and was carried by one of the passengers. A CCTV camera recorded some of the activities and the attack is believed to have been coordinated by a network of individuals, many of whom have been arrested and are being investigated,” a security official has said.

Surveillance footage shows the suspect being handed a laptop by two men, with one wearing a security jacket.
