The Moscow-bound aircraft is estimated to take off from Shanghai at 11:55 a.m. and its actual takeoff time was 12:31 p.m. with over half a hour's delay. As a passenger suffered illness and felt unconformable, the flight crew member communicated with the patient's family and decided to divert back to Shanghai from over Mongolia's airspace.

The Registration B-2566 B767-300 aircraft has landed in Shanghai Pudong International Airport at 8:23 p.m., according to VeryZhun, China's leading flight status provider.
