RUAG Aviation has achieved full certification approvals for Russian registered civil aircraft. Issued on April 7 (Munich) and 5 May (Geneva) 2016, Russian certification is granted indefinitely for the RUAG service facilities in Munich (D) and Geneva (CH). Included are business jets from the Bombardier Challenger/Global Series, Embraer Legacy and Lineage, Dassault Falcon, Beech and Pilatus.
"Our focus on opportunities with the Eastern European business aviation sector is an essential component of our growth strategy. Studies indicate that the region is investing in civil aviation at a rapid and ever-increasing rate," explains Volker Wallrodt, Senior Vice President Business Jets, Dornier 228 & Components, RUAG Aviation. "In fact, we are experiencing this in our European service centres, as well, where we will continue to serve this important and growing customer base. RUAG is now fully approved for serving our Russian registered civil aircraft customers with complete solutions and certification rights. This extends to all services from minor checks and AOG situations, up to and including heavy maintenance checks, interior refurbishment and system upgrades. This is a true milestone for RUAG Aviation and a confirmation of the portfolio of services we provide on our customers’ behalf."
Prior to the current approval by the Russian Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsia), RUAG Aviation had been serving Russian registered civil aircraft based on time-limited agreements. This required rigorous scheduling and planning procedures, especially for large checks and refurbishment projects, in order to remain within the restricted timeframe of permissions granted by each singular agreement.
The current agreement extends these rights indefinitely. As a fully approved and certified organisation for the technical maintenance of Russian registered aircraft, RUAG Aviation is able to perform and certify complete MRO and refurbishment services for Bombardier Challenger CL650, CL600/601, CL604, CL605, CL300, CL350, CL850, Bombardier Global Express, Global XRS, Global 6000, Global 5000, Bombardier CRJ200, Embraer Legacy EMB-135/145 and Embraer Lineage, in Munich, and Dassault Falcon 10/20/50, Dassault Falcon 900/EX/EASY, Dassault Falcon 2000/EX/EASY, Dassault Falcon 7X, and Pilatus PC-12, in Geneva.
RUAG Aviation provides one-stop shop solutions for business jets, including MRO, cabin interiors, painting, system upgrades, FBO, and support and consulting.
