Sberbank Leasing and Irkut Corporation are going to sign a firm contract for delivery of 20 MS-21 aircraft at MAKS-2015 international airshow, a source close to Irkut Corporation reports. He added that the contract might also include an option for another 30 jets of the type.
“It is too early to talk about details, but Sberbank Leasing and Irkut Corporation are going to sign a firm contract for delivery of 20 MS-21 aircraft. Moreover, the contract may include the option for 30 more jets of the type,” the source told Aviation EXplorer.
A letter of intent for delivery of 20 MS-21 airliners was signed by Irkut Corporation and Sberbank Leasing at MAKS-2013. Deliveries of the aircraft are scheduled for 2019-2025 period. At that time the list price of 20 jets of the type was $1,7 billion.
